WORM0 History

Development milestones

  1. Family-codec routing established a shared resource packer.
  2. BriefLZ supplied an exact fallback for ordinary bytes.
  3. Linear chunk records and a compact single-resource layout reduced metadata.
  4. Validated payloads gained direct writes; exact geometry, enums and total lengths were hardened for generation 26.
  5. C and JavaScript ports added lossless generic-resource packing, chunk and resource hash checks, embedded-resource preservation and local browser upload/download.

These milestones summarize the reference module's documented development. This website describes generation 26 only.
